SunSystem SpA, an Italian engineering company and Suntech Power, a global producer of solar panels Tuesday announced the signing of a contract for the delivery of 25 megawatts (MW) of solar panels polycrystalline.
These solar panels will equip two new solar projects under construction in Romania and will be connected by the end of 2013.
“The collaboration with Suntech SunSystem combines global expertise with the best installation practices, to provide a reliable and cost effective solar energy to the Romanian people” said Vincenzo Quintani, Sales Director of Suntech Europe Southeast. “This project, along with our recent collaboration with EDP Renováveis, underscores our growth strategy in Eastern Europe.”
Both power plants will use Suntech polycrystalline modules of 60 cells (model STP 245-20/Wd) with their structure and performance improved by 15% suitable for large projects and rooftop installations. In addition, the Italian brand inverters Aros Technology (Aros Sirio HV K500-MT) equip these plants. Once installed, the annual production of Suntech solar panels is estimated at about 30 MW per hour.
Power plants will be operated by SunSystem and developed by its subsidiary RoEnergy.
