HaloIPT, the global leader in Inductive Power Transfer (IPT) for wireless charging electric vehicles, has announced two new strategic relationship that will begin volume production of IPT charging technology. HaloIPT work with Chargemaster Evid PLC in Europe and Asia Power Ltd to carry the load IPT to the industry of electric vehicles worldwide within the next 18 months.
Chargemaster, which has the largest number of loading bays for electric vehicles in the UK, set the initial manufacturing production in the United Kingdom for HaloIPT. This will produce the hardware that allows electric vehicles equipped with an integrated receiver automatically loaded when parked or driven by ground transmitters. For the second quarter of 2012, this alliance will make the plans available for Chargemaster to oversee the delivery of IPT production systems tested and fully assembled, ready for deployment.
HaloIPT has also signed a strategic alliance with evidence Power, Ltd., a leading designer and manufacturer of battery packs, lithium ion batteries for electric cars. Evide, which has operations in Europe, Israel and China, working with HaloIPT to explore the feasibility of manufacturing in Asia HaloIPT 40,000 systems over a period of five years. These units will become an option in the next specification electric vehicle.
