IBC Solar has sold one of its largest solar energy project to a fund managed by Allianz Specialized Investments. The solar park located in Manzano in the Italian province of Udine, covers an area of 32 hectares.
The sale, which reported this week, took place last August subject to the construction and operation of the park. IBC Solar was responsible for planning and development of solar park Manzano, as well as all licensing requirements and subsequent construction. It also has been responsible for operation and maintenance. The solar park is connected to the grid on December 7, 2010.
Manzano has been installed in over 47,000 and 3,600 polycrystalline thin-film hybrid modules. Its generating capacity is equivalent to energy consumption of 3,700 households over the next 20 years. During that time you will save the release into the atmosphere of some 210,000 tons of carbon dioxide.
