The Spanish government granted 72 million for direct grants to assist the purchase of electric cars, buses and other electric vehicles.

The government, for the development of these proceedings, has approved a Royal Decree that regulates the direct grant aid for the purchase of electric vehicles in 2011, under the 2010-2012 Action Plan of the Comprehensive Plan to Promote Electric Vehicle in Spain.

The decree provides for the development of the post of manager of cargo, which will sell electricity to recharge electric vehicles. This action is intended to encourage the installation of charging points in public spaces like parks or shopping malls. A key measure is called the access fee which, under the name of supervalle, allowed to charge electric vehicles at night, between 01:00 and 07:00 hours, at a lower price caundo wind farms generate electricity and demand is low.

This subsidy amounts to 25% of the sale price before taxes, with a maximum of 6,000 euros per vehicle, including batteries, both for individual users for private fleets. Also subsidize up to 25% of gross acquisition of other electric vehicles such as buses, coaches or vans, with a maximum of 15,000 or 30,000 euros, depending on the type of car and its autonomy. The management of aid will be processed through an associated organization of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade. Your choice will be set through competition.
