South Korea aims to offshore wind farm project with a high of 2.5 GW at a cost of 6,000 million euros.

Wind farms are built on the southwest coast of South Korea and will feature some 500 wind turbines. It is expected that the project be completed during 2019.

The companies in charge of the construction of wind turbines are Hyundai Heavey Industries and Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering. The government is coordinating the project encargardo wind and provide part of the capital, but also will require private funding.

The objective of developing the offshore wind is not only provide clean energy to South Korea but also the manufacturers of wind turbines convienrtan gain experience and major exporters.

The South Korean government has committed to invest around 26,000 million euros in renewable energy over the next 5 years to reduce its energy dependence and immerse themselves in the renewable energy market.

Electric vehicle with lithium batteries do not emit CO2 or damage the environment if the electricity comes from renewables such as wind, solar photovoltaic and solar thermal or thermal. Wind turbines can supply electricity to electric vehicles in the future will also serve to store and regulate the electricity intermittent wind energy sector.
