The president of the company, Pawan Goenka, told, that an exelctric vehicle will be showcasted at the Auto Expo.
Mahindra and Mahindra, one of the largest automakers in the country, plans to launch the electric vehicle by the end of 2010, he said. The electric vehicle will be on display along with the automaker’s full range of products, including two-wheelers, utility vehicles, light commercial vehicles and trucks at the upcoming Auto Expo.
The company also has plans to launch hydrogen and CNG vehicles over the next 12-18 months.
Goenka said the company had developed hydrogen and CNG powered vehicles, which could be launched over the next 12-18 months depending on the infrastructure. He added that the company also planned to launch hydrogen-powered three-wheelers at a later date.
