The Spanish MADE-Invertaresa Group will produce 700 two-axis solar trackers, designed by SENER for Lases photovoltaic plant for an amount of more than 9 million euros.

MADE-Invertaresa Group, based in Castilla y Leon, has been awarded the contract to supply more than 700 two-axis solar trackers with SENER design, intended Lases photovoltaic plant of 9 MW of power, which is being installed in the town of Sarinena in Huesca, and will be one of the largest photovoltaic plants in Spain. SENER engineering firm has designed and patented two-axis actuator that integrates with the support, which could increase the production of conventional photovoltaic plants by 40% compared to fixed installations, through that mechanism constantly monitors the sun, thus maximizing the radiation received during the day and therefore electricity production.

The innovative solar tracker is being manufactured by companies INVERTARESA GROUP, MADE and Isowat, and SENER engineering. MADE manufactures at its factory in Medina del Campo, the structure of the follower, while Isowat deals in A Coruna to mount the electrical control system. For its part, SENER manufactures the action mechanism of two shafts with the own design and patent. The result is a follower with two axes of excellent features, robust and reliable, with an area of 112m2 and a production capacity of 14 kW per tracker.

Lases plant of 6 hectares in area and 9 MW of power, will become one of the largest photovoltaic plants in Spain.
