With the theme “Better City, Better Life”, Shanghai 2010 will be one of the largest exhibitions in the world with 220 confirmed attendees and 70 million visitors expected.
The Belgian pavilion will be equipped with an integrated solar system with approximately 160 kW 690 Trina Solar modules covering an area of 1200 m2. This system should be able to generate approximately 116,000 kilowatt hours of electricity and save around 39 tonnes of coal and 87 tons of carbon per year.
” We are delighted that the Belgian government have retained Trina Solar Premium modules for their two prestigious buildings. With this clean energy solution they contribute to the theme of Shanghai World Expo, which slogan is “Better City, Better Life,” said Jifan Gao, CEO of Trina Solar. “The use of solar photovoltaic modules is the perfect solution for renewable energy sustainable rooftops that help to improve the quality of life in our cities”.
“The Shanghai Expo will allow the world to discover the importance and value of renewable solar energy. This partnership with the Belgian pavilion will offer Enfinity an attractive image and in the future will help us develop our business in Asia,” in his turn said Mr. Van Neer, CEO of Enfinity Asia Pacific.
