Acciona Energy and the Spanish-French group Dhamma Energy have signed a collaboration agreement for the implementation of photovoltaic systems in France. The first work will be undertaken by constructing a 12 MWp plant, the largest in size of all currently operating in France, in the department of Ardeche (Rhône Alpes).

The agreement provides that action brings all aspects of technology, engineering and design, and also undertake the construction, operation and maintenance of facilities promoted and developed by Dhamma Energy in France, where this group has a higher 250 MW PV Portfolio.

The 12 MWp PV plant is planned on an area of 32 hectares. The modules, Montand on trackers, account for the greatest power rating of the facilities are operational so far in France, and its estimated production is about 18 GWh per year. Dhamma Energy Group has the rights to the occupation of the land where the plant is located for 22 years, during which operate the plant ownership, while Acciona will address the construction, operation and maintenance of itself.

Arrarás Miguel, director of business development photovoltaic ACCIONA Energy, said that the strategic alliance with Energy Dhamma “allows us to enter the French PV industry the hand of a highly qualified partner with a great knowledge of the market and at a time that there are significant growth prospects in France arising from the regulatory framework.”

For his part, Philippe Esposito, founder and president of Dhamma Energy, said that “the agreement reached with Acciona Energy Dhamma enable receive technical support from a partner of the highest quality and through its experience in the French market to develop the best projects technological level can be expected, with an unmatched security for the future exploitation of the plants.”
