Suntech Power Holdings has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Canadian based Pure Energies to supply up to 17 MW in 2010.
Wuxi, Chinese crystalline silicon photovoltaic module manufacturing branch of Suntech , also said to sign a framework agreement to supply Pure Energies with modules through 2011.
Pure Energies, which leases and operates solar panels for its customers in the Ontario region, is planning to start marketing Suntech equipment ready for installation in 2010.
Pure Energies also launches a programm with the Ontario Power Authority to encourage the development of sub-10 KW renewable energy projects across the province.
“The Ontario solar market is on an exciting trajectory, due to recent decisions and and eager customer base,” said Suntech’s Leonard May, managing director, North America sales, in a news release.
