German homeowners and solar investors has rushed the solar energy sector of the economy to set a new record with installing about 3GW of solar power this year. This is partially explained by the feed-in tariff rates to be 10% lower in 2010 and the Renewable Energy Sources Act demanding power companies to buy all the energy produced by anyone making renewable power at a fixed above-market price for 20 years.
The drive makes Germany one of the biggest solar energy producers in the world getting about half of 15 GW produced wirldwide.
This is no joke. German suppliers are out of solar panels. That’s it. We sold out! Come again next year!
